This Wednesday I had my first workshop with the kids of Casa B in the district of Belen, in Bogota. The project, Futuroscopio, aims to empower disadvantaged children to find their voices through creative and experimental photography workshops, and is an interchange between three groups in Colombia, Bolivia and Mexico.
In our workshop this week, we asked the kids to pick a topic of interest to them, and in groups, construct sets to represent their chosen themes using the space and resources in Casa B. We used an Instax camera to get them used to the idea of having only one shot - in preparation for our Pin Hole camera workshop next week.
